By far the most commonly used symbol for Bitcoin is ₿, a capital letter B with two falling strokes at the top and bottom. This symbol was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto for the icon of an early version of the original Bitcoin client, though the very first versions of the Bitcoin client used “BC” instead of any special symbol. Presumably the symbol was intended to look similar to other currency symbols. The symbol represents the currency unit “bitcoin” (100 million satoshi), as well as the Bitcoin network and currency itself.

The legendary Bitcoin B logo cannot be missed and has populated its way throughout the global web – from exchanges to social media influencers, the standard B with two strokes cannot be mistaken.
When Satoshi released an open source collection of graphics for Bitcoin it was awesome to see how he clearly included the “digital gold” and “e-cash” philosophies of those before him. He did so with small, clean, references, nothing too gaudy and ridiculous. Mostly small digital coin logos or a B with the currency symbols sticking out.

There are quite a few pixel versions out there and this is a smooth edit I made for my own uses. Came out pretty slick with the two color tone using the original Bitcoin gold for the primary color.
